Overview
For welding aerosol, open face aluminum entry nozzle, based on Swinnex design, 750 ml/min flow rate, fits onto Face Level Sampling Headset
Requires Face Leveling Headset, a 13-mm 0.8-µm MCE filter, and AirChek Series sample pump.
Validated for sampling manganese, the Mini Sampler is designed specifically for use with the Face Level Sampling Head Set (Cat. No. 225-6200, sold separately), to enable positioning of the Mini-Sampler air inlet to within 4 in. of the operator’s mouth and nose, particularly when wearing a protective face shield. When used with the Face Level Sampling Headset, the Mini Sampler makes sampling inhalable manganese and other hazardous metals in welding fume easy! The Mini Sampler and the Face Level Sampling Headset have been identified in ISO 10882-1:2011 as the best mounting arrangement for sampling particulates (metals) in the breathing zone inside a welder’s face mask. Both were developed in a research project partly funded by the Swedish Work Environment Authority at Stockholm University, Sweden.
